Drs. D'Amato and Hartlage have created an excellent and up-to-date resource for the practicing psychologist in the field. The book helps one better understand the field of neuropsychology, current research, and state-of-the art assessment and intervention techniques. I especially found the chapter by Margaret Semrud-Clikeman and Jodene Goldenring Fine to be especially valuable. I am a child clinical psychologist who evaluates many children with learning difficulties. In their article, "Brief and Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment of Children and Adults With Learning Difficulties and Disabilities", these two authors clearly explained definitions of learning disabilities, controversies in the field, current research, and assessment techniques. In our practice, we plan to use this article as a guide. We will hand it to parents and clinicians who desire to learn more about what we do. This is an wonderful addition to our field that is both academic and practical.Steve Curtis, Ph.D.Lifespan Psychological Services[...]
