Possibly needs to be sanded where your fingers go.My 20 lb bell weighs in at 19.6 pounds. Finish is smooth. And it has a 2 year warranty! Someone is expecting it to break?My friend asked me to purchase this kettlebell since she loved mine and she wanted one of her own. She uses it for several of her weight training exercises. Although on the small size, it functions well and is easy to manage.I purchased this kettlebell for light warm-ups and my wife uses the kettlebell for her main work out movements. Given the small footprint of a 10lb kettlebell, I can easily bring it for quick warm-up movements when I go out for a run or walk.The product came on time and the box wasn't damaged (This can happen with kettlebells, weights, etc).The kettlebell weighs 10 pounds (yes I weigh them myself!) I was able to get the product at a discount which ended up being about $3 cheaper than the coated neoprene ones. Ultimately, the coated ones wear down so I opted to save some cash I can put toward another kettlebell in the future. Plus I also had a work out foam mat so didn't really need the protective coat.The most important thing in a kettlebell for me is the HANDLE! This handle is smooth and easy to grip/hold when making kettlebell movements. If all the company's kettle kettlebells have the same smooth handle, then you will be good to go.It's exactly what I needed.
